Cash or Wire Transfer

We accept cash for in-person transactions. Wire transfer information is available upon request. A modest transaction fee applies for wire transfers so be sure to include the appropriate amount to your total prior to sending your payment. Please let us know we can expect your incoming wire so that we may appropriately mark your invoice as paid.

Credit Card

You may pay with a credit card in-person, over the phone with us or pay directly through your online winning platform invoice. A  credit card processing fee will be added to the final invoice*. We reserve the right to wait for payment to clear (typically 24-48 hrs.) before releasing your items.

* Kindly note: the credit card processing fee is not greater than our cost of acceptance.

You may pay by personal, business or cashier’s check in-person or by mailing to the address below. Make checks payable to Wiederseim Associates and please include your invoice # on the check along with pertinent information related to your purchase:

Buyer’s Premium

A 25% Buyer’s Premium is added to each lot sold regardless of where/how purchased OR type of payment made.

What makes up the Buyer’s Premium? Primarily, the Buyer’s Premium helps cover the costs of running the auction house and its future auctions. There are many costs that go into an auction that most people do not consider such as:

• Rent
• Heat/AC and electricity
• Catalogue prep
• Photography
• Security
• Computers and software
• Salaries
• Advertising and Marketing
• Online catalogues and bidding venues
• Insurance

PA State Sales Tax

A 6% sales tax will be added to winning bidders’ invoices who reside in the state of Pennsylvania unless purchased for resale or exempt from tax by other Pennsylvania law. A Sales Tax exemption form must be presented to WAI prior to a sale. Note: If bidding through a third-party platform sales tax exemptions MUST BE FILED DIRECTLY WITH that platform per their terms.

Payment Quandries

We are happy to welcome bidders from around the world. Unfortunately, there are few bad apples out there who win an item but don’t pay for the item. For high-value items in particular this can put us in a real pickle.

So, as a way to better vet qualified bidders, we may require a refundable Down Payment in order to bid on certain high-priced items. If you aren’t the successful winner, this fee will be refunded promptly. Should you be the winning bidder, this fee will be applied as a credit to your invoice and the remaining balance will be due. If the balance isn’t paid (said winner skips town), we’ll keep the fee which will allow us to recoup some of the costs associated with re-cataloguing the item to a future sale.
