Condition reports are provided as a courtesy primarily for those who cannot attend a sale. They are an opinion and should not be regarded as fact which is why we strongly recommend bidders to personally examine all items of interest prior to bidding.
Your bidding will signify that you have examined the items as fully as you desire and accept them “as is”, OR that you have chosen not to examine them.
Final responsibility rests with the bidder to assess the condition of any item sold by Wiederseim Associates.
All lots are available for inspection during the Auction Preview. If a lot description contains the phrase “AS FOUND” it indicates that there are general “issues”. Conversely, the absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging.
Buyers interested in the condition of an item are encouraged to email us at least 48 hours prior to a sale and, to the best of our ability, we will document condition status.
Condition reports are answered in the order received. Understand, we may have to limit the number of condition report requests per bidder so that we may respond to all bidder requests fairly.
