Whether you’re experienced or a first-time bidder, we want to make your auction experience easy and enjoyable and we offer several ways to do that.

Absentee Bidding

An absentee bid, also called a ‘left bid’ is the highest amount you would be willing to bid for an item. Absentee bids are accepted by registering on our website or on a third-party platform such as Bidsquare, Invaluable or LiveAuctioneers. Absentee bids may also be left in-person during the auction preview at our Gallery.

In-Person

In-person bidding occurs during a live sale at our Gallery using a bid card. Simply register in person during the auction preview period at our Gallery. You will need to provide state issued photo identification, a valid credit card, and any applicable tax-exempt documentation. You will be given a bid card to use for the duration of the sale.

Internet

Internet bidding is available through one or all of the following online platforms – Bidsquare, Invaluable or LiveAuctioneers. Create an account with one of the platforms and register to bid for a particular Wiederseim auction. There may be terms and conditions that apply specifically when using these platforms so be sure and review them prior to the sale. Keep in mind bidder approval is on a case-by-case basis and may take a few days to process so please REGISTER EARLY.

After the sale, payment may be made directly through your invoice, account, or you may pay us directly after online bidding results have been confirmed. Please see our payment terms for details.

Telephone

We provide phone bidding as a courtesy on a first come/first served basis, requires a two-step registration (see below) and requires a minimum opening bid of $500.00 or higher.

Phone bid registration must be submitted and confirmed by us no later than 24 hours prior to the start of a sale. No bids will be accepted after that time.

Once registered and confirmed, on the day of the sale a Wiederseim staff member will call you approximately 5 lots prior to your item. For timing purposes, we typically auction about 50-60 lots per hour.
